Sara Lewis is semi-retired and always working on something, usually related to her interests in Virginia history, genealogy, and archaeology. She has earned a BA in History and Art History from The College of William and Mary, an MA in Art History from Virginia Commonwealth University, and an MBA from The College of William and Mary. She has worked as a history museum curator (Old Capitol Museum, Jackson, Mississippi) and business manager (Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia), but now works in part-time positions as a local park interpreter (York County) as well as an archaeology firm development manager and occasional researcher (The Fairfield Foundation). While researching and writing about family and Chesapeake Bay-region history she finds personal links to New England and Africa and shares these stories here. Other stories about her Virginia and North Carolina ancestors can be found in her Ancestor Confessions blog.
