Hosted by Atlantic Black Box

Thursday, June 5, 2025 from 6:00 – 7:00 pm ET, Online

Join Atlantic Black Box and its partner organizations on June 5 to launch a new season of Walks for Historical and Ecological Recovery (WHERE2025).

This epic collective journey engages communities throughout the Dawnland in examining the ways that Indigenous, Black, and settler-descendant populations are represented in our commemorative landscape and in public memory. Meet our 2025 site partners and learn about the many moving opportunities you’ll have over the coming months to collaborate in surfacing suppressed stories of genocide and survival, enslavement and resistance, displacement and represencing—all while reconnecting to place and to others.

Seven new sites. Seven months. Seven chances to move in solidarity toward truth & transformation.

During one powerful hour, we will share a short film by Eli Kao about our WHERE2024 series,  sketch our compelling itinerary, introduce you to our stellar team and site partners, and explain the many ways you can walk alongside us in 2025 as we pursue this collective journey.

Please join us this Thursday at 6:00 pm as we look back on the ground we covered in 2024 and look forward to reconnecting both to place and to one another.
