Simmons Center • 94 Waterman Street • Providence, RI
This exhibition offers a glimpse into The Unfinished Conversation Series, a living repository of over 150 interviews collected across four continents. Catalyzed by the Simmons Center in 2014, the Global Curatorial Project planted the seeds for this project as an experiment in decolonial curatorial practice. In this new archive, the descendants of the enslaved and the colonized share their lived experiences and historical memories, showcasing how racial slavery and European colonialism shaped the modern world.
