This talk by Dr. Eben Miller of Southern Maine Community College is in-person, free, and open to the public. It will draw on local traditions—such as stories like “Nimrod the Scarboro Slave”—as well as archival resources to explore the history of slavery in Scarborough and elsewhere in Maine.
Eben Miller is Social Science Department Chair and Professor of History at Southern Maine Community College in South Portland.
