Attention Educators! Join a free monthly webinar on Teaching Tolerance’s Teaching Hard History Initiative starting tomorrow, Tuesday, September 22, at 7:00 p.m. EST

Our lead presenter will be Dr. Kate Shuster, the director of the Hard History Project
and longtime manager of the Southern Poverty Law Center’s Teaching Hard History Initiative.

The Hard History Project has launched a monthly Virtual Professional Learning Community (VPLC) in partnership with University of New Orleans’ Midlo Center.

Every month, we’ll dig in deep to look at two or more Summary Objectives of the 6-12 Framework for Teaching Tolerance’s Teaching Hard History Initiative.

After that, we’ll work our way through the K-5 Framework. And if you’re an elementary educator, no worries! We’ll be looking at ways you can scale the 6-12 content for your students each month.

It’ll last 90 minutes, with about 45 minutes of that being Q&A. Check out our Google Folder where you can share resources and lessons for feedback each month.

Each call will be recorded and available on our Vimeo account if you are unable to attend live. Our lead presenter will be Dr. Kate Shuster, the director of the Hard History Project and the long-time manager of the Southern Poverty Law Center’s Teaching Hard History Initiative. And from time to time other authors and experts will drop in on these meetings.

Please feel free to share this email and registration form with any and all educators who might like to attend.
